Thicker than your water

I’ve just got back from a great day at Goodwood Revival with my Dad. Heading back home, his radio switched itself on to tell us the travel news, and we were treated to a local radio journalist: “You’ve got your roadworks and tailbacks Eastbound on the A27…” at which point both of us shouted that they weren’t our roadworks.
I don’t know if this tells you more about me, my Dad or the shockingly awful idiots they let loose on our airwaves, but it made me realise that at least in print we have the luxury of going back and fixing the kind of rubbish that tends to fall out of our minds.
And that now I’m becoming my Dad, it’s not half as bad as I expected.
