This week I be mostly driving

A while back I came up with the idea of trying to set some kind of an economy benchmark in Toyota’s iQ, as part of our work on Toyota’s blog.
That’s what I’ll be doing for the next couple of days, then. You can read about it here, see pictures of it here, and watch films of us here.
Now look, this next bit’s painful after everything I’ve said, but probably the best way to follow our progress will be via tweets on the iQ Twitter feed.
There. I’m a broken man. Take aim, Charlie. Do your worst.
UPDATE: back home after two exhausting days. We managed 504.2 miles on one seven-gallon tank of fuel, averaging nearly 72mpg and driving into the centre of 18 cities in the process.

You’re too late Si – I haven’t used twitter since, like, late 2008. Yawn.
So that’s a double serving of pity with a side order of hollow shame.
Actually, the prospect of making your life a misery over the next couple of days via RSS is quite appealing, I might dust off the Twhirl and tweet you bad.
I’ve learned one thing already today – hypermiling is bloody tiring. We’re going to be husks of men on our return.
If it makes you feel any better, I claim the Twitter hypocrisy crown: am going on the radio later today to explain how great it is. Watch this space to see if I manage to actually bite my tongue off completely.
“How much twat could a twitter twat tweet if a twitter twat could tweet twat?”
I don’t know, but I managed to tweet enough twat that I decided to delete my vindictive ramblings a while ago and setup a new Twatter account, to which I’ve not yet tweeted because I’m afraid I’ll tweet myself to twattishness again.
Twit.
