Job title: Journalist
Full details: Can you write concise, authoritative copy to daily deadlines? Do you have the attention to detail necessary to weed the mistakes from your own and other people’s work? Are you excited about the future of journalism in an online world? Would you like to work for a fast-paced, award-winning agency in Brighton?
The internet is changing the way we communicate. Companies are realising that the old marketing models do not work anymore and that marketing needs to be done for people, not at people.
Spannerworks is pioneering new ways for companies to be useful to their customers. Our rapidly expanding content and media team is looking for an ambitious, forward-thinking journalist to join its editorial staff.
As a Spannerworks journalist you will have the opportunity to research and create engaging and informative content; writing news items, features and blog posts for daily publication on our clients’ web sites.
Working in a creative partnership within the content and media team, you will liaise with other writers to produce timely copy across a range of styles and topics. You will proof other journalists’ work for mistakes, and will be happy to own your share of the company’s editorial clients.
We are looking for experienced candidates with an enthusiasm for writing, and an interest in social media such as blogs, networking sites, and other online communities.
You will have strong journalistic skills and the ability to create accurate, objective and high-quality content to tight deadlines. Participation in social media and experience of writing online would be an advantage.
You will be joining an innovative and pioneering team that is creating new approaches to some major business challenges. You will have the ability to think quickly and outside the traditional models and approaches, and will have a desire to do work that is truly remarkable and inspiring.
